Davrin is an elf and Hermandad Warden with a griffon companion called Assan who everyone is understandably already in love with. The blight-battling Wardens were the focus of Dragon Age: Origins and have made appearances in other parts of the series as well, so there's plenty of established lore about his affiliation, at least. ATK(LVL) refers to the attack value required for a character at a given level to have a 60% hit rate against Frecuente enemies. Upgrades that increase Attack will provide 50% of this value regardless of how high the companion's Attack actually is.
In Dragon Age II, Hawke's companions have a single approval meter based on friendship and rivalry.[1] A companion with high friendship considers Hawke a friend while high rivalry indicates the companion respects Hawke but contact me disagrees with Hawke's views.
If you do not complete Bait and Switch you will not be able to recruit Fenris. It is an optional quest so make sure you have it done before finishing Act I if you want Fenris to join you.
Ultimately there is no happy ending for someone who consorts with demons, nor for people who distrusted her so much that they couldn’t let her face the consequences. But Merrill is subversive, tragic, and somehow, still a joy to know.

Execution – Put Anders in your party and head off to the Gallows Dungeon. Make your way through the tunnels until you come across Ser Alrik. After a short conversation, Anders will lose control of Justice and go a little crazy. When the battle is over you will have to deal with the following conversation carefully.
